Closing the gap requires investments in infrastructure, affordable pricing, device programs, and training for users of all ages. Schools, libraries, community groups, and governments all play a role in making digital tools useful and safe. Efforts that ignore culture, language, or disability often leave the most vulnerable people behind. Measuring progress means looking beyond connection counts to real outcomes like homework completion, job placement, and health access. At its best, digital equity empowers people to participate fully in modern life and narrows broader social and economic divides.
